We stay up to date with current veterinary treatments and medications and believe in clear communication, education, and professionalism to best serve our patients.

Dr. Foltz grew up in Dover and was active in 4H where he enjoyed learning about insects, animals, and raising rabbits. He knew at a young age that he wanted to become a veterinarian and own a practice one day. Through much hard work and dedication, he fulfilled his dream by graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.
Early in his career he worked in a mixed animal practice, treating both companion and farm animals. He narrowed his focus to dogs and cats when he opened Dover Veterinary Clinic’s doors in 2001.
Dr. Foltz and his wife live outside Dover with three slightly spoiled dogs. They have two grown daughters – neither of whom followed in his footsteps into veterinary medicine! He is happiest spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and working on his small farm. He also enjoys traveling annually to Honduras which began in 2007 when he accompanied his oldest daughter on their first church mission trip.
Dr. Foltz enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, including soft tissue surgery, dentistry, working with Save A Mom Pregnant Dog Rescue and forming a connection with his many clients and patients which often span decades.
